Berks Coalition to End Homelessness, Inc.

Berks Coalition to End Homelessness provides the following direct services:

 

HPRP - Homeless Prevention and Rapid Rehousing Program - this is a rental and utility assistance program for those who are being evicted or those who are already homeless. This is a federal program. To schedule an assessment to see if you are eligible, please contact Ariane Cooney, Case Manager, at 610-372-7222. 


Berks County Community Emergency Funds - through funds provided by the United Way this is an application for funds of up to $350. These funds are distributed on a one-time-basis to Berks County residents in need. The following needs eligible for these funds are: food, utilities-such as (gas, electric, water), rent, mortgage, and medical. To print out an application, please click on the link below.

Street Outreach - is a program where we connect with those already living on the streets or those that are having trouble making ends meet. Each month we visit various locations including soup kitchens and food pantries and offer help with services.

 

Housing Point - this is a software program that connects renters with landlords and creates a database of affordable rental units. To visit Housing Point, click here.

Each year, the Coalition performs the HUD-mandated Point in Time Count. We go out in teams to local soup kitchens, pantries, and shelters to count the homeless of our community.
