BCEH would like to give a big shout out to one of the residents in our permanent supportive housing program!
This is Leon, he is a veteran with 6 children who could not find work because of a disability and ended up homeless. This however, did not keep him down for long. When he entered the permanent supportive housing program at BCEH, Leon began attending RACC.
He graduated from RACC and did so well that he was awarded the Presidential Scholarship to continue his education toward a bachelor’s degree at Albright College! He is now in his second semester there and is doing well! Leon’s major at Albright is history and his career goal is to be a middle school teacher. When asked about advice he would give to others, Leon said: “You have to find your purpose! Once you do, the sky is the limit! Work hard and go for it!”
Congratulations on all the hard work Leon! Good luck in school!
