CoC Program
Competition

The Continuum of Care (CoC) Program is designed to promote communitywide commitment to the goal of ending homelessness; provide funding to quickly rehouse homeless individuals and families while minimizing the trauma and dislocation caused by homelessness; promote access to and effect utilization of programs by homeless individuals and families; and optimize self-sufficiency those experiencing homelessness.

Emergency Solutions Grant

The ESG program provides funding to: engage homeless individuals and families living on the street; improve the number and quality of emergency shelters for homeless individuals and families; help operate these shelters; provide essential services to shelter residents, rapidly rehouse homeless individuals and families, and prevent families/individuals from becoming homeless.

Important Dates:

  • June 22: New project RFP posted
  • Week of June 29: Funding committee meets to approve and accept renewal/transition projects. Applicants will be notified shortly after. 
  • June 30 at 12:30: webinar about new projects (email rachael@bceh.org for the link)
  • July 15: New project proposals due to rachael@bceh.org 
  • End of July: Funding committee meets to accept new applications and determine priority list. New project applicants will be notified of their project status and all projects will be notified of the priority list shortly after.
  • August 7: New, renewal, and transition projects due in e-snaps; feedback will be provided to new project applicants by TBD
  • TBD: Final new project applications due to e-snaps
  • August 26: CoC Collaborative Application and Priority List due to HUD

Note: these dates are subject to change depending on HUD's release of e-snaps applications and detailed instructions, and depending on ongoing court cases (read more here). The community will be notified of any date changes as quickly as possible. 


FY 2025 CoC Program Competition 

Due to court orders, HUD rescinded the FY25 CoC Competition NOFO and noncompetitively renewed all eligible projects.
